EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: GET TO KNOW THE TEAM
PAIGE BRUETSCH
ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN
Meet Paige Bruetsch, Environmental Technician, a 2023 addition to our Blue Heron Environmental team.
Paige has a Diploma in Environmental Monitoring & Technology from South Metro TAFE, Western Australia and launched her career working for a First Nations community in Northwestern Ontario. Through this experience, Paige has advanced professionally, gained significant experience in surface and groundwater collection and trained and mentored new technicians. Most recently, Paige has transitioned to the mining industry, further developing her knowledge of compliance including government regulations, permits and certificates of approval.
We asked Paige to answer a few questions to help our clients get to know her better.
GET TO KNOW PAIGE BRUETSCH
I first learnt about Blue Heron when I enrolled in their Environmental Monitoring course through my previous job.
My favorite part about being an environmental technician is the field work. I love being outside, rain or shine. It doesn’t feel like work when you get to use ATVs or snow machines or snowshoeing to access a site.
My first job was at Canadian Tire, I worked in almost all the departments but enjoyed Seasonal/Garden Centre the most.
To learn new languages. I love to travel and would like to be able to quickly pick up the language to chat with locals.
Impossible question! Each place I’ve visited is beautiful for very different reasons and I would love to revisit them again.
