CONGRATULATIONS JOSIE-ANN!
SUCCESSFUL COURSE COMPLETION!
Blue Heron is proud to announce that Josie-Ann Tessier, Biologist – Project Manager, recently completed an Ontario Wetland Evaluation System (OWES) certification course. Josie-Ann’s certification qualifies her as an official Wetland Evaluator.
In fact, Josie-Ann is one of only a handful northern certified Wetland Evaluator in Ontario, situated in Sault Ste. Marie.
The Ontario Wetland Evaluation System (OWES) is a science-based system that is used to evaluate and rank the relative value of wetlands and determine their significance. The evaluation system recognizes the importance that wetlands play in preserving ecological processes and functions.
Josie-Ann Tessier is now the northern-most certified OWES evaluator in Ontario
OWES certification is required to identify an individual as an official wetland evaluator and Blue Heron is pleased to introduce Josie-Ann Tessier, Ontario’s northernmost wetland evaluator, as part of our growing biological team.
