Understanding the Act
In late-2016, Ontario passed the Invasive Species Act regulating activities that impact prohibited and restricted invasive species. When conducting natural environment assessments for new industrial projects, the act must be considered for prohibitions and restrictions on invasive species.
This session is an overview of the act, and identifies some of the Invasive Species in Ontario, particularly those found in the North.
