In Ontario, there are several regulatory requirements (both provincial and federal) for Environmental Emergency Response Plans (EERPs), making it critical to evaluate all potential site-based environmental risks and manage them accordingly.
This session will review the requirements for the development and implementation of an EERP, including regulatory, site-specific requirements, and corporate commitments.
Exercises include: identification of environmental risks for an industrial site by conducting a risk assessment, creating an environmental emergency response drill calendar, conducting a table top drill, and reviewing scenarios to determine if incidents are externally reportable or not.
