Meet Dana Baldisera, Senior Permitting Specialist, a 2026 addition to our Blue Heron Environmental team.
The Blue Heron team is delighted to welcome Dana back! Many of us have worked with her at different stages of her career, and her return feels both natural and meaningful — a homecoming that has been met with many smiles across the team.
Dana previously worked with Blue Heron in environmental technician, environmental specialist, and project coordination roles, building a strong foundation in environmental compliance, field programs, permitting support, and project delivery.
Dana holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Zoology as well as a Certificate in Environmental Conservation from the University of Guelph. Ms. Baldisera is also a certified Environmental Professional through ECO Canada (EP).
Ms. Baldisera brings 15 years of experience supporting environmental initiatives in the mining industry throughout Northern Ontario and the Northwest Territories.

HOW DID YOU FIRST LEARN ABOUT BLUE HERON ENVIRONMENTAL?
Blue Heron is where I began my environmental career after completing my post-secondary studies. I first learned about the company while working as a summer student at a mining operation.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT BEING A SENIOR PERMITTING SPECIALIST?
Working closely with clients to understand their project / operational needs and helping them successfully achieve their goals.
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?
Summer camp counsellor.
