This workshop is to provide a planning session to review what environmental regulatory and other sampling and or reporting requirements are needed for a participants sites, and to plan them accordingly.
Participants will bring all permits and Environmental Compliance Approvals, as well as any other sampling/reporting obligations with them. The regulatory obligations will be reviewed, and a calendar will be populated. Participants will leave the workshop with a sampling and reporting calendar populated for the upcoming year.
The Metal and Diamond Mines Effluent Regulations (MDMER) course is a detailed review of the regulatory requirements and associated guidance documents providing an in-depth review of the criteria for compliance, monitoring and reporting requirements.
Participants will review the regulation itself in detail, highlighting key points and interpreting the requirements for their sites.
This session is an introduction to the federal Metal and Diamond Mines Effluent Regulations (MDMER), providing a review of the criteria for triggering into MDMER, tools for ensuring compliance to MDMER, recent updates and an overview of the key monitoring and reporting requirements outlined in the regulation.
