Environmental Support for Communities

Aiming towards improving communication and understanding.

Independent Document Review
with Community Concerns in Mind

Improving communication and project understanding can help to bring clarity between Aboriginal communities and project proponents. We can analyze and summarize scientific documents, for general audience understanding.

Our staff are prepared to carry out technical reviews with a focus on areas of community concern, including potential impacts to water, fisheries, hunting, trapping, and community health and wellness.

Our review services also:

  • Consider land use, traditional activities and areas of cultural and sacred significance.
  • Ensure all environmental concerns related to potential impacts to traditional lands are understood by members of the community.
  • Develop a strategy and schedule for consultation and engagement with proponents.
  • Prepare a summary report of technical documents, and present findings to Chief and Council, and the community.

Reviews Assist Communities in Understanding Potential Environmental Effects of Resource Development Projects.
