Fundamentals of Bat Studies

March 22 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

$40

THURSDAY, MARCH 22nd, 2018 | 10am EST

Three bat species in our region are considered endangered by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC) and the Endangered Species Act. Any development now needs to consider these bats and bat habitat before project can proceed.

Strategies for bat studies are still being developed and a draft protocol was released by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. As awareness increases around the strategy to protect SAR bats, new research and findings are being uncovered every year, making the way we assess bat habitat ever changing.

Our webinar will give a good indication of bat ecology, bat habitat, how assessments for bat habitat are conducted, and outline requirements of the new draft protocol.

Sign up for this webinar and find out how these bats listed as species at risk may affect your project(s).
